Roy Møller has an array of musical colloborations and seven solo albums to his name as well as poetry published in the likes of Lighthouse Literary journal, Andotherpoems and Ink, Sweat & Tears. In 2014 Møller took My Week Beats Your Year, his musical and spoken tribute to Lou Reed, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe; Louder than War called it “witty, mesmerising and highly poignant”, awarding its soundtrack recording 10/10 and 9/10 for the other album he released on Stereogram that year, One Domino (“intoxicating and compulsively habit-forming”).
In 2015, Roy read his poem “Nina Simone” at A Celebration of Nina Simone at Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, reprising the poem the following year at the Edinburgh International Book Festival for Neu! Reekie!’s launch of their anthology #UntitledTwo which included the poem.
Over the past four years Roy has taken a break from songwriting while working on his poetry volume, Be My Baby, which will be published by Dionysia Press this September. Roy has recently performed selections from it at Hame-ish and Listen Softly in Edinburgh.
