I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, and had an idyllic childhood. I went insane when I was eighteen and struggled with mental illness for many years. It wasn’t until I went to live on a farm in Western Massachusetts that I truly began to heal. The act of my rebuilding my psyche was the act of me becoming a poet. The hardest thing for me to grasp has always been my own true value as a human being, but when I look back on my poetry, and when I share it with others, that value is reflected back to me. I currently live in Cambridge, Massachusetts and work as an ESL tutor. I hope to publish a book of poems soon.
