Please return to your seats and strap in 8

i just dropped you off
at the corner of
blossoms eagerly
relinquishing the
steady bark
and a carousel
spinning at a forty five
degree angle

i fear tonight
may return a
wild stallion,
kicking off the
farm in the
mirage of a plain,

so i’ll leave an apple
by the guest-room
table

A little freedom can breed a lot of trouble and that apple may be more tempting that one believes. I enjoyed the quirkiness of this write. I am adding this to editor’s picks 🙂
